The nightscene in Australia can be found in clubs, pubs that Aussies head for after the working day.

Pubs (bars) are called "hotels" in Australia. You can enjoy a cold beer or wine and listen to live bands in the nightscene Australia. The musos (musicians) are talented and their gigs are published in the local paper and in give-away magazines.

Clubs in the nightscene Australia are mostly big RSL or Leages Clubs (originally for servicemen or sports fans)... Or else they're trendy night clubs in basements in the CBD (city business districts).

Another part of the nightscene in Australia are the night clubs and strip joints of Sydney's Kings Cross. The area is traditionally a red light district because there's a naval base nearby, and Aussie and US sailors used to come ahore for liberty walk up the hill and "paint the town red".

Gay Sydney congregates along Oxford Street, between Hyde Park, Sydney, and the suburb of Paddington. There are many night clubs and pubs there and it is a major part of the Annual Gay Mardi Gras parade in Sydney.

Oxford Street itself continues east all the way through Bondi Junction and down the hill to Bondi Beach. Bondi is a magnet for young backpackers, so there's a thriving night life there. The beach hotels and pubs will be jumping until late... The nightscene Australia is especially busy and loud on Friday or Saturday nights.
